Why do you not produce bifo-longum?

Hi Dr. Olree–
I don’t produce this species because when I chose the strain from the bifidum species that I do produce, there were ample studies on the liver detoxification effects of this strain. However, if I came across a strain of longum that I thought had exceptional properties, I would definitely consider it. Hi Natasha – I am hopeful that you can help me!
I used Continental Acidophilus for 15 years before the manufacturer went out of business. I understand that Continental Acidophilus was your father’s product. It is the only product I have ever used that both helped my symptoms and did not induce an allergic response of some sort. I appear to suffer from candida albicans and my more pervasive symptoms have ranged from overall itchiness, dandruff and occasional vaginal yeast problems to what seems to be something like seborrhea dermatitis on my face. The only product that controlled these symptoms was your father’s acidophilus. I have now developed what seems to be a chronic sinus problem that is absolutely miserable and I believe it is related to discontinuing the use of the Continental Acidophilus.
In my view of the perfect world, your company would market your father’s wonderful product. Since it is a not a perfect world, I’ll be happy with any advice you can provide on what I can take that is most like your father’s product. I am miserable and again will appreciate anything you can offer in the way of guidance.

Thanks for your email. However, let me correct you on a couple of mistakes in your comment. The Continental Liquid Acidophilus was perfected by myself in the early 1970s– not by my father, based on the current science that was available back then. The problem with any liquid acidophilus including continental is that you cannot make a potency guarantee of the living organisms that are present in the product at the time of consumption. The effect that you felt from the continental liquid acidophilus was due to the fermentation end products found in the product and not by the living cells of acidophilus. Because I found science that disturbed me about the claims made about the liquid acidophilus, my father and I had a parting of the ways. If you have been suffering from candidiasis, you need Natren’s Healthy Trinity capsules, two at least twice a day. Yeast is most prolific in the large intestine (colon) where bifidobacteria dominate. Therefore, our Healthy Trinity formula has a guarantee of 20 billion colony-forming units of Bifido-bacteria bifidum, Malyoth strain, found in clinical trials to be effective against yeast. Also, our L. acidophilus NAS strain was clinically tested in a Yale nursing school study to control yeast overgrowth in HIV positive women. I could make many more arguments regarding the scientific validity of using the Healthy Trinity versus any other probiotic preparation on the market. Suffice it to say that people who have used the Healthy Trinity have seen the results for themselves and have refused to use any other so-called probiotic product.

I just began using your Healthy Start 3 powders. They have made such a difference in a very short time!!Thank you. Now I have combed your website and am wondering if I should take the Trinity or the Healthy Start. I prefer the powders but would gladly take the capsules if they were better? They do seem to have some differences in potency. Can you give me advice about the two. Also I am having them shipped tome in California. Will the potency be ok still?

In The pH Miracle by Dr. Robert Young he says no to probiotics because they can damage healthy cells and tissues, including the delicate intestinal villi. They also are acidifying to the body and have harmful effects over the long run. What has your laboratory research showed?
What about Dr. Young’s book The pH Miracle where he says probiotics aren’t good for you long term?

I was thrilled to see that your family has been in this business for about 750 years! Both my husband and I have a great “WOW!” as response to this! WELL DONE!
Natasha, at the moment I am searching for Vegan products, especially Probiotics, that has the ANTI-ANIMAL CRUELTY label on it. The other day I found a high grade Digestive Enzyme that has such a logo on, and Praise the Lord for that! Literally!
I honestly don’t want to use ANY products that has been experimented on animals, since this defeats the point of using Vegan products – right?
Please let me know if you products has the anti-animal cruelty label on?
